Weymouth Rugby Club

Dorset Events are very proud and privileged to sponsor the under 15′s Weymouth rugby team.

To gel the team together the coaches thought that it would be nice for all the team to have an official Weymouth rugby club tie for after their home and away games.

The team are growing from strength to strength each match they play and watching them from their first ever match to now, it is fantastic to see the cohesion they have built in a short spell.

Community Rugby Treat

Weymouth U14\15′s played host to local rivals Dorchester on their first 2009 match.  Spectators were treated to a feast of good rugby with both teams committing to 100% delivery following their Christmas break.

The visitors took an early lead and with rapid succession of attacking play that put the seasiders on the back foot for the first ten minutes. Having been given the wake-up call the hosts lifted their game and pushed the visitors all the way with solid defensive lines and winning their share of line out ball, but failed to hold their own at the breakdown.

The visitors delivered a powerful scrum which proved too much for the host’s pack, but with true grit and determination the seasiders fought to the end eventually losing 39-10.
