New logo for Weymouth Carnival

WEYMOUTH Carnival Committee has launched a colourful new logo for the resort’s big event.

The logo, designed by Linda Cleary of Cleary Creative – and embroidered by Mandie Parfitt of Threadworks – features beach and beach huts, seagulls, bunting and sunshine.

Sue Follan, of the Carnival Committee, said: “I’m thrilled and amazed at the creativity of the new logo.

“It sums up everything we believe about Weymouth Carnival; and how family-orientated the event is.”

The new Carnival Bear also features on the new logo.

This year’s carnival is promised to include a walking procession, Carnival Queen pageant, live music and Red Arrows.

There will be events, stalls, a fun fair and firework display.
