CSMA Club Special Events visits A1 GP at Brands Hatch

The sun shone last month as CSMA Club launched its Special Events programme for 2009, at old favourite, Brands Hatch.

With our members marquee in prime position overlooking the start/finish straight opposite the pit lane, our members, their families and friends had a great view as Team Ireland’s Adam Carroll won the closest A1GP championship battle in history, to become the fourth different nation to clinch the title in four seasons.

On arrival at the track, the marquee was clearly visible from the entrance with flags flying, and was the first enclosure that ticket holders came across. The weather favoured us all weekend and members were able to drop off bags and coats, grab a free tea and coffee from the bar and relax with complimentary newspapers before the ontrack action began.
 
In the bright sunshine, members were treated to several race series supporting the weekend’s A1GP action and with a large screen opposite, didn’t miss action elsewhere on the circuit. Nearby, all the family were kept entertained by a range of activities including displays from the White Helmet motorcyclists or the spectacular arrival of the Red Devils parachute team.
 
Whether relaxing with a beer on the patio furniture or lazing back with a coffee and a Sunday newspaper, CSMA Club members had an A1 time!
